Arafa Kika the Founder and Managing Partner of Merakai Healthcare, is a clinical pharmacist and has more than three decades of diverse experience in the Pharmaceuticals, Vaccines, Biologicals, OTC and Nutrition business.

Arafa Kika joined Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in 1986, where he has a multitude of leadership roles in sales, marketing, general management and regional positions, responsible for operations across 25 countries in the Middle East and Africa spanning Wyeth, Pfizer and Nestlé. And actively participated in global strategic projects.

Arafa drove significant strategic visions and led seamless route-to-market transformation in various countries including Saudi Arabia and Africa region. He has led and developed highly effective and motivated diversified team who succeeded in reshaping the business with 100% compliance. Established exceptional long term business relationships with authorities, stakeholders and distributors.

Most recently, Arafa moved back home to Egypt as the Business Executive Officer for North East Africa Region & Africa Cluster Head, while being board member of Nestle NEAR.

Arafa Kika is also club president in Lions Clubs International, where he focus his efforts to help the less fortunate patients.                              

Hisham Amer is cofounder and Managing Partner of Merakai Healthcare, has 35 years of experience in the pharmaceutical marketing & communication field in the MENA Region; Hisham has helped in shaping the future of the pharmaceutical industry.

Hisham started his career in Bristol Mayer Squibb, where he held various sales and marketing roles focusing on cardiovascular products in Saudi Arabia and Middle East region till 1995.

He founded InterMark, the largest Healthcare marketing and communication firm in the Middle East, with offices in the major markets in the Middle East and extended services that includes all aspects of HC marketing, communication and commercial. InterMark key business partners include most of the multinational pharmaceutical companies in the region like GSK, Pfizer, Nestle, Sanofi Aventis ..etc, the MOH and Medical societies and institutions in the MENA region.

Hisham set in the board of several HC pharmaceutical companies including Polaris Dynamics, Summit, Pinnacle, infomine, Galleon Pharma, and InkSmith. Also, He is marketing consultant for several institutions and societies, and a lecturer for several universities and strategic consultancies.

At the personal side, Hisham completed level one and two as professional track rider, and established Arabian Knights, the largest bike community in Egypt.
